Remembering "Little Church in the Valley" 

Carson (Hemlock-Stabler) WA

1984 - 1987 

As I look back on the ministries

I rejoice in the times 

of fellowship, love, 

and friendship 

of those 

whom we served. 

There was a sense of P E A C E 

in this little church.

Stationed 15 miles from Mt Saint Helen,

we served there as 

we continued in 

God's Holy Word - (KJV) of the Bible.

We did not make the 

headlines.

But over those few 

years - we saw 

people on the move 

people going from one place to another

and others

who for a time

stayed in the area.

We had a Sunday School

and Service on every

Sunday Morning

while at 

dusk we had an 

Evening Service.

Wm. Henry Cash Jr

1927 - 2012 

was their Pastor.

Served 1984 - 1988 

Thinking Back 

I see 

how much faith

my dear  

husband 

had 

in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Every morning 

before I got up, 

he was studying at his desk, 

pouring over 

Hebrew in the Old Testament

and in the 

Greek New Testament

as well as 

his 

King James Version Holy Bible.

How I remember 

And how I cherish

His memory.

One morning he was 

a bit late...and as

he set off, he 

normally had

prayer with me.

He said, pray for me, 

I'm late.  and he headed

off to work. 

To get there, he 

had to go from

Carson WA 

where we lived, 

go through a 

T U N N E L 

before he got 

to the Cascade Locks Bridge

which spanned

the river.

It was a good drive

every day

back and forth.

He never complained.

That day, after he 

left, I felt his desire

for me to pray,

and as I did, 

was overwhelmed 

with tears,

and a strange awareness

that he and I were

together

for the reason

of leading people 

to know Christ

and to disciple 
them.

I prayed not knowing

why and what

but that it 

was important 

that I 

place Henry and 

myself into 

the Lord's hands.

Well, the day

went on, and 

time came for Henry

to come from Parkdale, OR

where he worked at 

the U S F S Ranger Station.

As he came into 

the house, he smiled a 

big smile.

I asked him? 

Did any thing happen ? 

today ? 

And he said, 

June, I was traveling 

toward the tunnel, and 

all of a sudden I was

stopped because

the cars in front 

of me were

not moving.

I waited.  It was dark 

still, as the 

sun had not come up.
Someone came

to my window to

say, we just had 

a large rock fall 

onto the highway 

and it hit one car, and
damaged another.

You have to 

wait until we clear it

away.  

So, he said,, 

If I had not been LATE 

I could have died.

And here I am.

The next day we 

saw in the paper that 

it was a 17 ton rock 

that had fallen.

How they got everyone

going again, I do not 

know, but 

I was thankful

my husband 

trusted God 

and 

had asked me to

pray for him.

Psalm 1 tells us 

that the man 

who delights in 

the law of the Lord 

and 

meditates on it 

day and night

will 

be Blessed.

Psalm 1 

1. Blessed is the man

that walketh not in the counsel

of the ungodly, 

nor standeth 

in the way of sinners, 

nor sitteth in the 

seat of the scornful.

2.But his delight is in 

the law of the LORD, 

and in his law 

doth meditate 

day and 

night. 

3. And he shall be 

like a tree planted

by the rivers of water,

that bringeth forth

fruit in its season; 

his leaf also shall not 

wither; and whatsoever

he doeth shall prosper. 

4. The ungodly are not 

so, but like the chaff 

which the wind driveth away.

5. There the ungodly 

shall not sant in the 

judgment, 

nor sinners in 

the congregation

of the righteous.

6. For the LORD knoweth 

the way of the righteous,

but the way of the ungodly 

shall perish.

Romans 3.23   For 

all have sinned and come 

short of the glory of God.

Romans 6.23 

For the wages of sin 

is death, 

but the gift of God 

is eternal 

life

through Jesus Christ 

our Lord. 

John 3.3 

Verily, verily, I say unto 

thee, except 

a man be born again

he cannot see 

the kingdom of God. 

John 14.6 

Jesus saith unto them, I am 

the way, the truth and 

the life, No man cometh

unto the Father

 but by me.  

Time is ticking. 

The clock tell us so.

Jesus has given us

His promise 

that He not only

is the way, the truth, 

and the life

and that 

only by Him 

can we 

have a 

relationship

with 

the Father. 

Jesus said himself to

Nicodemus

who came to him

by night

"For God so loved

the world,

that he gave 

his only 

begotten 

Son, 

that whosoever

believeth 

in him 

should not 

perish,

but 

have 

everlasting

life.

My husband was to me

my love, my friend

and 

all because

He loved and knew the 

Lord Jesus Christ.

I was a sinner saved by grace also, and

knew the Lord as my Savior.

It took God and God 

alone 

to put two 

people together

who

when they married

would be 

ONE 

in 

Faith 

Hope 

and 

Charity

Charity is God's Divine Live

and 

it is 

His Love which 

draws us 

to Himself.

Jesus said before 

he went to the cross

that he was 

going to 

do just this - 

that he would die, 

would be buried, 

and would rise again 

all According to the Scriptures.

He did not mince his words.

He told the truth.

When He rose from

the grave.

He gave the command

"All power is given unto me

in heaven and in earth,

go ye therefore, 

and teach all nations, 

baptizing them in

the name of the 

Father 

and of the Son

and of the 

Holy Ghost, 

Teaching them to observe

all things 

whatsoever

I have commanded you, 

and, 

lo, I am with you 

alway, even unto 

the end of the world. Amen.

Matthew 28b. 18 - 20 

I present to you 

that just as my 

dear husband

stood for 

the KJV the Holy Bible

and 

did all he could

to serve 

to tell others

about His Savior

so too 

today 

I come to you

and say

as a widow 90 years young 

I came to Jesus as a sinner

and found Christ is everything

to me - 

and I long to share that 

Gospel 

the Good News 

that Jesus loves ALL 

God who is 

Merciful

came to dwell among 

us 

and make his 

home 

with us

until he 

Paid The Only Price

for sin 

(Matthew 1.21)

because

He was 

born 

of a virgin 

(Isaiah 9.6)

and 

born 

to be the Lamb of God

which taketh 

the sin of 

the world 

(John 1.29)

Why not trust Christ 

today? 

It is never too late

Jesus is coming soon.

It may be night

It may be noon. 

But it will be soon.

Those who trust him

become 

New Creatures.

Brand new babies.

What happens in the moment

you trust and 

pray 

Jesus, I thank

you 

for dying for me

in my place

and I 

ask you to 

forgive me

and 

wash me

and make 

me Clean, 

I ask you to come

into my heart.

It only takes a moment

but it lasts a lifetime.

and, 

the person 

who trusts Jesus

will 

live for ever.

It will be worth it all

when we see Jesus,

life's trials will seem so small,

when we see Christ! 

Jesus said, 

Ask and it shall be given you,

Seek, and ye shall find, 

Knock, and it shall be opened unto you,

Matthew 7. 7.  

 

Jesus also said, 

Verily, verily, I say unto you, 

He that heareth my word,

and believeth on him

that sent me, 

hath everlasting life, 

and shall not 

come into condemnation

but is passed from death

unto life. 

John 5.24 

Again Jesus said, 

And this is the will of him

that sent me, that \

everyone 

which seeth the Son,

and believeth 

on him, 

may have

everlasting life,

and I shall raise

him 

at the last day. 

John 6.40

What can wash my sin? 

Nothing but the blood of Jesus

What can make me whole again? 

Nothing but the blood of Jesus

Oh, precious is the flow

that makes me white as snow,

No other fount I know,

                     Of Imagination and Faith

      

           Philippians ch. 4. v. 8

    Finally, Brethren, whatsoever

things are true,

whatsoever things are honest,

whatsoever things are just,

whatsoever things are pure,

whatsoever things are 

lovely,

whatsoever things are 

of good report;

If there be any virtue,

and 

if there be any 

praise, 

think on these things.

Philippians 2.12 - 13

Wherefore, my beloved,

as ye have always obeyed,

not as in my presence only,

but in my absence,

work out your own

salvation 

with fear and 

trembling, 

v.12 For it is 

God which worketh

in you both to will

and to do 

His good pleasure.

                  

Little Church in the Valley 

Hemlock-Stabler - Carson, WA

was our church from

1984 - 1988 

        Henry was still working for 

the U S F S and was 

working as a 

Forest Technician

while Pastoring 

this church.

We had many blessed memories

there.   The church is no 

longer in existence,

but we had dear hearts

joined together

in service with 

our precious Lord Jesus 

Christ.

As I look at the truth 

that God

sent His Only Begotten

Son 

into this world

to 

save us 

and 

to 

pay the price

of our 

redemption

I cannot 

find any

greater 

truth 

than this.

Jesus told Nicodemus

Ye must be born again.

There is an earthly birth.

But you must have 

a birth into

the spiritual 

world.

Again 

Jesus told 

Nicodemus

"that God so loved the world

that He gave his only 

begotten Son

that whosoever

believeth 

on him 

should not 

perish,

but have 

everlasting life.

The first step is to

think 

thoughts

principles

philosophy

and

science

in ways 

that 

give 

us more 

of the facts 

so that we 

can 

decide for 

our very 

own selves

that we

may

know the truth.

To think something

is to think

on 

those

things

in

the mind.

We first must

think.

The Scientific Method

begins by 

collecting 

the facts.

So ask your self

What ? 

is true that I want 

to see in my life?

What is true that 

I need to keep close

to my way

and to

direct my 

path 

in life's devious 

journey? 

I need to make a list

of things

I consider 

T R U E.

My beginning point 

as a Believer 

is to think 

of what Jesus said, 

John 14.6 

I am the way, 

the truth,

and 

the life. 

No man cometh 

unto the Father

but by me."  

 So this, for me,

is 

the 

FIRST TRUTH

in 

finding 

Truth.

There are many paths

and much

Many folk never 

find certain truth

in their life.

But that does not mean

Truth 

is relative.

It only means that

many reject the 

real truth 

because it is too much

and 

very biased 

they say.

We all have biases in our lives.

All of us have things that 

we do or do not do 

depending on 

how we were

raised,

what we were taught

and 

how we were 

treated.

Many times 

things that make 

no sense 

happened,

and some 

people never

find what they 

think could be true.

So I say, 

YOU CAN START FIRST

BY LETTING 

GOD'S WORD 

be what it is.

It is His Book 

from cover to cover

and God

in His Wisdom

BREATHED 

it 

throu His Dear Holy Ghost 

The Holy Spirit

We all are living 

human beings.

We are those 

who have 

the 

BREATH  of GOD

that has been given 

us to live.

Genesis 1.1 

In the beginning God created 

the Heaven and the Earth.

Jesus said in 

John 8.12  

I am the Light of the world; 

He that followeth me 

shall not walk in 

darkness, 

but shall have the 

light of life.

To look at what is 

TRUE 

we need to examine it 

we need to think it through

we need to establish our selves

in that which is true

and 

to turn from all

that is not true.

Psalm 1  pictures the 

person who 

is 

TRULY  RIGHTEOUS

TRULY GODLY

1. Blessed is the man that 

walketh not in the counsel of 

the ungodly; nor standeth 

in the way of sinners; nor

sitteth in the seat of the 

scornful;

2. But his delight in in the 

law of the LORD and in 

his law he doth meditate

day and night.  

So let me say this.

To meditate day and night

on the 

words that God has given us

will do either one 

thing or the other.

What we think about 

will become our 

life style.

What we spend timeto 

to consider and to 

receive unto myself

the words 

into my life stream

begins 

to 

shape 

the way that I live.

I John 1. 1 - 4

tells us what the elder

Apostle John wrote to his 

beloved flock that was now 

being persecuted 

and scattered 

everywhere.

He was an old man

and now needed

to write the Christians

who were being told 

that Jesus was not really 

God 

and that He really only was 

not what they had been told.

Gnosticism was rising in which

they taught 

that good and evil

alway existed together

and we could not 

really deternine 

T R U T H 

John says this to 

these scoffers who

are seeking to

sawy the Believers

"1. That which was from the beginning

which we have heard, which we have 

seen with our own eyes,  which 

we have looked upon, 

and our hands handled, of 

the Word of life; 

2. (For this life was manifested

and we have seen it, and 

bear witness, and shew unto you

that eternal life, which was with the Father,

and was manifested unto us;)

3. That which we have seen and heard

we declare unto you, that ye also

may have fellowship with 

the Father,

and with His Son Jesus Christ.

4. And these things 

write I unto you 

that your joy may be full.

Jesus, Jesus 

How I trust Him

How I've proved Him 

O'er and o'er

Jesus ! Jesus ! 

Precious Jesus ! 

O for Grace 

to trust Him more ! 

We will consider 

7 Steps of 

Imagination and 

Faith 

which in realization

and experience 

are repeated 

over 

and 

over

will result

in the 

making 

- the constitution

of - 

C H A R A C T E R  

A  Godly person 

is just someone 

who 

knows and loves

and respects 

God in their life

and

they will 

reflect His likeness

as they pass 

through 

life.

The ungoldly 

person is 

just 

someone 

who does not 

know 

God 

and who really

is not at all 

concerned with

who or what 

or why of things

except just 

to be able to 

do as he 

or 

she 

pleases. 

 

JESUS 

SAID 

He that seeth me 

seeth the Father. 

   John 14. 7, 9 

We will look at the TRUE

This step is

thinking 

the 

ideas

that 

generated 

the roots 

of our

faith.

This steop may 

be a bit harder,

for it is 

a matter 

of checking 

my interest 

my desires

evaluating my 

motives

as to 

Wy ? 

What for? 

What result would I 

like to see?

What do I think 

could be? 

So thinking on the 

G O O D 

THE BEAUTIFUL

AND 

THE 

TRUE  

IS NOW 

MAKING ME 

READY FOR  STEP FOUR

In choosing

to pursue

trusting

THE RIGHT 

AVOIDING THE FALSE

TURNING AWAY

FROM

NOT

GOOD

GOOD.

IN CHOOSING

FROM

GOOD

BETTER

AND 

BEST 

TO 

FIND THAT 

WHICH IS 

BEST 

IN GOD'S WILL

FOR ME.

II COR. 4.6

For God, who commanded

the light to shine out of 

darkness, hath shined in 

our hearts, to give the 

light of the knowledge 

of the glory of God 

in the face of 

Jesus Christ.

ii Corinthians 5.7 

FOR WE WALK BY FAITH

NOT BY SIGHT.

MY LIGHTHOUSE BY THE SEA

Paintng from years ago  

which I used for my Blog.   

It was in 2015 that I moved here

to Blaine, WA from Ellensburg, WA.

In 2012 Henry went on to glory

and it has been almost 10 years 

this year in the month of June.

                               As the birds migrate in their

season, so too, we find ourselves

thrust forth into another year.

My focus is upon the 

PROMISE 

that our Lord Jesus Christ 

gave to us before

He ascended up to Heaven.

Matthew 28. 18 - 20 

18. And Jesus came and spake

unto them, saying, 

All power is given unto me 

in heaven and in earth.

19. Go ye therefore, and teach

all nations,  baptizing them

in the name of the Father,

and of the Son,

and of the Holy Ghost:

20/ Teaching them to observe all

things whatsoever I have 

commanded you: 

and, lo, 

I am with you alway,

even to the end of the world.

When I came to Jesus as a young
woman of ten years of age, I was 
called to tell others just as 
Jesus said.   He gave that 
great commission 
because He 
wants us to be 
a part of the 
plan 

HIS LOVE FOR US 

WAS WITHOUT MEASURE

AND HOW

CAN WE GIVE 

LESS

THAN

GIVE 

OUR  LIVES

TO HIM.

When I was a little girl in Adams, Massachusetts,

I knew that I had a special purpose 

and that I wanted to know

just what 

that 

purpose was.

My mother told me,

when I was only three years old,

"When you grow up, I want you to tell me 

so the I can believe also.

and here in this photo I was all of five 

years, so I was FOCUSED 

ON FINDING OUT 

THE PURPOSE 

OF GOD IN MY LIFE.

and now here I am

in Whatcom County, WASHINGTON STATE

right near the border of British Columbia

CANADA, 

and at the edge of 

DRAYTON HARBOR 

which is situated

just at THE PORTAL OF THE 

SAN JUAN ISLANDS

And I am blessed indeed.

MY JOURNEY has taken

me from the East Coast of the 

United States to 

the very opposite 

corner here in

Blaine.

BIRCH BAY 

CUSTER 

LYNDEN

FERNDALE

SUMAS 

ALL GREET HOSTS OF 

PEOPLE WHO VISIT

FROM ALL

OVER THE WORLD.

Even in this time of Covid 

restrictions, I

their heart and life

will go

INSTANTLY 

AT THE BLINK OF AN EYE 

and ONLY THOSE

will see it happen.

Jesus said in John chapter 14.

verses 1 - 3 

Let not your heart be 

troubled: ye believe in God,

believe also in me.

In my Father's house are 

many mansions; 

if it were not so, I would

have told you. 

I go to prepare a place for you.

And if I go and prepare 

a place for you,

I will come again,

and receive you unto myself;

that where I am, 

there ye may be also. 

He is coming in the clouds 

Every time I look up 

I remember what He said

that HE IS COMING 

My great grandfather Luther W. Brewer 

lived in Exeter N H when they 

raised their daughter Lillias May Brewer.

My grandfather Forrest Raymond 

Carpenter of Cheshire, MA, USA 

met and married her in 1914.

The house you see at the 

beginning of this post is the 

home they had on

the shore of 

YORK BEACH, MAINE

where it still exists today.

It is a RENTAL now, and 

some added features have been

made to it, but it is still there.

\Here they were - playing croquet 

at their place in York Beach, Maine

together.    

We called them  "May-mie"  (Mamie) and 

"Bampy"  

Their real names were 

Luther Wilbur Brewer and Vida May (Ingalls)

It was 1910 - 1914 that 

this photo was taken.

This was the photo taken when

my Mother Vida May was only 3 days old.

It was 1915.  

The whole world was at war, 

but my Grandmotherr

and Grandfather 

BELIEVED GOD

WAS WITH THEM

AND THEY WERE

RAISING THEIR FAMILY.

TODAY we 

still have the challenge

to do the same.

WE ARE TO LIVE IN 

THE LIGHT OF 

CHRIST'S SOON 

COMING

YET WE ARE 

TO KEEP ON 

DOING 

AND 

BEING 

AND 

LOVING

AS MUCH AS

WE CAN DO,

GOD HELPING

US.

So here am I as a

You see I was a happy

little lass.

My mother 

My grandmother

loved on me a lot. 

I was a little Redhead

with long hair 

and wavy. 

I remember just how much

my aunties 

and uncles doted on me.

Mother had 4 sisters

and so they 

really were 

like BIG SISTERS 

to me. 

My father is here with Mother

and Grandmother, and my 

beloved Aunties.

Granddad -
