WORK FAITHFULLY -  

MAKE STRAIGHT
THE PATHS 

  

When my children were growing up they knew

their Mother and Father were busy and occupied in

giving their efforts in helping a local 

Church to be what it should be -

A LIGHTHOUSE.

A LIGHTHOUSE GIVES LIGHT

SO THAT POSSIBLE ROCKS

IN THE WATER CAN BE 

AVOIDED

IT ALSO HELPS TO

LIGHT UP THE DARKNESS

SO THAT A SHIP CAN

FIND ITS WAY.

WHATEVER A CHURCH IS NAMED

IS NOT THE POINT.

IT IS WHETHER IT STICKS 

FAITHFULLY

LIKE GLUE

TO THE WRITTEN WORD OF GOD

TO THE PRECEPTS THAT IT HOLDS FORTH

AND TO THE 

BIBLICAL PRINCIPLES

IT GIVES US.

ALL WE EVER NEED 

IS THE WORD OF GOD 

FOR TODAY

THAT IS ALL WE HAVE

IN THE DARK NIGHT OF

SIN THAT 

FOLDS ITSELF

OVER EVERY ASPECT

OF LIFE 

FROM BIRTH

TO

DEATH.

LIFE.

LIFE ETERNAL.

LIFE EVER LASTING.

FOR EVER AND FOR EVER.

WHAT DOES IT 

REALLY MEAN 

TO 

LAST 

FOR EVER ?

For God So loved the World
that He gave his only 
begotten Son that 
whosoever 
believeth in him
should not perish,
but have 
everlasting 
life.

Matthew 5.16

Let your light so shine 

before men

that they may see

your good works

and 

glorify your

Father which is in

heaven.

I was just a child 

in 1935.   Here I am 

just barely two years old

and I thought 

I was helping my 

Grandmother

in the garden ! 

Oh ! my !  

I know now how

much she loved me 

and wanted me to 

learn how

to do 

and be

all I could be 

for God.

Do you know 

we are all

LITTLE CHILDREN? 

So often 

we are unable 

to do for our self

until some ONE 

takes a hand to 

teaching 

a new truth

and a new way

to me.

AND GOD'S WORD

I challenge you that
the Great Commission 
in Matthew 28.18 - 20 
is the CORE TRUTH
of the LIGHT we are to 
display 
in our lives.
WITH THE LOCAL 
BODY OF BELIEVERS
A LIGHT CAN SHINE
EFFECTIVELY
IT SHOWS HOW
WE CAN LOVE ONE ANOTHER.
IT SHOWS A 
BIG CONTRAST WITH 
WHAT THE WORLD HAS TO 
OFFER.
Jesus said,  
"Upon this rock will I build my 
church, and the gates of hell
shall not prevail
against it.
Matthew 16.18.
Peter had just responded to
the question that 
Jesus gave,  
"Whom do you say
that I am?"
And Simon Peter answered
and said unto him,
Thou art the Christ,
the Son of the Living God."
Matthew 16. 16.
In John chapter 13
v 33, 34
Jesus told the 
disciples
"A new commandment I give
unto you,
that ye love one another; 
as I have loved you, 
that ye love one another.

v. 34 

By this shall all men
know that ye are my 
disciples, if ye have 
love one for another.

ROMANS 10.9, 10
THAT IF THOU SHALT CONFESS 
WITH THY MOUTH
THE LORD JESUS,
AND SHALT BELIEVE

TO BE ABLE TO PRAY

WE MUST FIRST BE SAVED.

WHAT MUST WE DO TO BE SAVED?

said the people who were 

listening to what the

FROM THE DEAD

AND GONE BACK TO 

HEAVEN

AND WILL 

COME AGAIN....

WHAT MUST WE DO 

TO BE SAVE?

Peter answered,

REPENT 

AND BE BAPTIZED 

EVERY ONE OF YOU

IN THE NAME OF 

JESUS CHRIST

FOR HIS 

REMISSION 

(FOGIVENESS) 

OF SINS, 

AND YE SHALL RECEIVE

THE GIFT OF

THE HOLY GHOST.

FOR THE PROMISE IS

UNTO YOU, 

AND UNTO YOUR CHILDREN,

AND TO ALL THAT ARE AFAR OFF,

EVEN AS MANY AS

THE LORD  OUR GOD

REMEMBER 

BAPTISM IS NOT WHAT

SAVES US.

WE ONLY  SHOULD BE BAPTIZED

AFTER WE REPENT AND BELIEVE

ON THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST,

THE CHURCH IS 

THE PEOPLE

GOD - THE SALVATION OF ME

GOD - MY SAVIOR 

PSALM 22. 2,3  THE LORD IS MY ROCK, AND MY FORTRESS, 

AND MY DELIVERER; THE GOD OF MY ROCK; IN HIM WILL

I TRUST: HE IS MY SHIELD, AND THE HORN OF MY SALVATION,

MY HIGH TOWER, AND MY REFUGE, MY SAVIOUR; THOU 

SAVEST ME FROM VIOLENCE. 

                                       
            Psalm 22 was written by King David after he had 
           "the LORD had delivered him out of the hand of all
            his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul." Psalm 22.1 
            
            Let us consider how God is the same to us today.
             In the Hebrew language - the way it is written, is
           rendered very concisely:  
                     MY ROCK -    "The rock of me" 
                      MY FORTRESS - "The fortress of me" 
                     MY DELIVERER - "The deliverer of me." 
                     MY SHIELD - "The shield of me." 
                      MY SALVATION - "The salvation of me"
                     MY HIGH TOWER -  "The high tower of me"
                      MY REFUGE -  "The refuge of me"  

         

                  In the mountains and in the caves David had 

              a time keeping out of the hands of Saul and those
               who would try to catch him unawares.   
                  When we are living each day, it is sometimes 
              a puzzle to us, because we have "enemies" of the 
               soul, which would hound us, harass us, and keep
              after us, because they do not understand that 
             God is the Only One to whom we can go, and it 
           our God the LORD who delivers us in the day of 
           evil.
                Here I give you my husband's list of facts about
           what it is that God has saved us from and delivered
            us into Light, and Life, and Hope and Promise and
           Help.    
                     John 14.6   I am the way, the truth, and the
            life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." 

When winter comes, 

Trees continue to grow their roots deep

down into the ground...

While snow covers their branches,

they are protected.

In our lives, God has provided

His Way, His Truth, His Life

for us.

The question is "Will you believe on Him

that He came from Heaven, to 

show us The Father, and to

become our PASSOVER LAMB 

our blood sacrifice 

to take 

your place

my place

everyone 

who will believe on Him

will have 

LIFE.

                    Colossians 1.12 - 14 declares it this way:
               Colossians 1.12  Giving thanks unto the Father 
         which hath made us meet to be partakers of the 
         inheritance of the saints in light 1.13 who hath 
        delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath
       translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: 
       1.14  In whom we have redemption through his 
        blood, even the forgiveness of sins"  

             The darkness and lack of light comes from 
             not knowing the LORD God through our 
             dear Savior.      So let us look at the contrast 
             of those who are NOT BELIEVERS, and
             of those who are BELIEVERS.

          THE LIGHTHOUSE WILL NOT BE ABLE 

TO SAVE LIVES ON THE STORMY SEA

IF THE LIGHT 

IS NOT

LIT.

ARE YOU A BELIEVER?

THANK GOD FOR HIS DEAR SON

WHO IS THE LIGHT

AND

WANTS YOU 

TO BE A LIGHTHOUSE

LIT UP 

TO SHOW OTHERS

THE WAY.   

                    1. THE PERSON WHO DOES NOT BELIEVE IS IN DARKNESS

 AND IN CAPTIVITY - 

THAT PERSON IS A SLAVE 

TO SATAN, TO SELF, AND TO SIN. 

                   To Satan:     
                               2 TIMOTHY 2.26  "AND THAT THEY MAY RECOVER THEMSELVES
                                   OUT OF THE SNARE OF THE DEVIL, WHO ARE TAKEN CAPTIVE
                                BY HIM AT HIS WILL."
                           To self:   
                               EPHESIANS 2.3  AMONG WHOM ALSO WE ALL HAD OUR 
                               CONVERSATION IN TIMES PAST IN THE LUSTS OF OUR FLESH,
                               FULFILLING THE DESIRES OF THE FLESH, AND OF THE MIND;
                                AND WERE BY NATURE THE CHILDREN OF WRATH, EVEN AS 
                              OTHERS.
                            To sin:    

                             JOHN 8.34    JESUS ANSWERED THEM SAYING, WHOSOEVER 

                               COMMITTETH SIN IS THE SERVANT OF SIN.    

2. THE PERSON WHO DOES BELIEVE IN CHRIST IS FREE

BECAUSE HE HAS THE POSITION OF ANOTHER,

EVEN CHRIST, WHO HATH MADE HIM FREE.

                                      HE HAS BEEN FREED

                               Jesus, his own words saying:    

                          John 3.36 He that believeth on the Son hath

                          everlasting life, and he that believeth not the

                          Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God 

                           abideth on him.  

                     John 8.35   " If the Son therefore shall make 

      you free, ye shall be free indeed."  

                 Galatians 5.1  "Stand fast therefore in the 

                      liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free 

                      and be not entangled again with 

the yoke of

                         bondage."  

                   2 Corinthians 5.21    "He hath made him to

                       be sin for us, who knew no sin, that we might

                 made the righteousness of God in him."

                  

                  3.  THE PERSON WHO HAS BELIEVED ON CHRIST IS FREE
                               FROM CONDEMNATION.  

                                  JOHN 3.18   HE THAT BELIEVETH ON HIM IS NOT CONDEMNED;
                                    BUT HE THAT BELIEVETH NOT IS CONDEMNED ALREADY,
                                   BECAUSE HE HATH NOT BELIEVED IN THE NAME OF THE
                                 ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD.   
                                    ROMANS 8.1     THERE IS THEREFORE NOW NO 
                                  CONDEMNATION TO THEM WHICH ARE IN CHRIST JESUS,
                                   WHO WALK NOT AFTER THE FLESH, BUT AFTER THE SPIRIT.
                 4. THE PERSON WHO HAS BELIEVED ON CHRIST IS FREE 
                                       FROM THE GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGMENT: 

                                  JOHN 5.24  "VERILY, VERILY, I SAY UNTO YOU, HE THAT
                               HEARETH MY WORD, AND BELIEVETH ON HIM THAT SENT
                               ME, HATH EVERLASTING LIFE, AND SHALL NOT COME INTO
                              CONDEMNATION, BUT IS PASSED FROM DEATH UNTO LIFE." 

                                1 THESSALONIANS 1.10 "AND TO WAIT FOR HIS SON FROM
                                HEAVEN, WHOM HE RAISED FROM THE DEAD, EVEN JESUS,
                               WHICH DELIVERED US FROM THE WRATH TO COME.  

                                  ROMANS 5.8,9   BUT GOD COMMENDETH HIS LOVE
                                  TOWARD US, IN THAT, WHILE WE WERE YET SINNERS,
                                     CHRIST DIED FOR US.  MUCH MORE THEN, BEING 
                                       NOW JUSTIFIED BY HIS BLOOD, WE SHALL BE SAVED
                                             FROM THE WRATH TO COME. 

                 5. THE ONE WHO BELIEVES ON CHRIST IS NOW

                         FREE FROM THE BONDAGE OF SIN.   THAT

                          ONE IS NOW FREED FROM THE SLAVERY

                           OF SIN.    

                          ROMANS 6.18    BEING THEN MADE FREE FROM SIN,
                                             YE BECAME THE SERVANTS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS.
                                     ROMANS 6.22    NOW BEING MADE FREE FROM SIN, AND
                                             BECOME SERVANTS TO GOD, YE HAVE YOUR FRUIT 
                                           UNTO HOLINESS, AND THE END EVERLASTING LIFE.
                                      ROMANS 8.2      FOR THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE 
                                        IN CHRIST JESUS HATH MADE ME FREE FROM THE LAW
                                         OF SIN AND DEATH.                  6.  THE BELIEVER IS FREE FROM THE LAW, 
                                           AND IS UNDER GRACE.

                                  Galatians 3.13  Christ hath redeemed us 
                                        from the curse of the law, being made
                                        a curse for us: for it is written, "Cursed

                                   Galatians 3.25,26 But after that faith is
                                      come, ye are no longer under a school-
                                    master, For ye are all the children of God

                                   Romans 10.4   For Christ is the end 
                                       of the law for righteousness to 
                                         everyone that believeth.  
                                    Hebrews 10.14 For by one offering he
                                     hath perfected for ever them that are 
                                       sanctified.
                                     Romans 6.4   Therefore we are buried
                                    with him by baptism unto death; that
                                   like as Christ was raised up from the 
                                    dead by the glory of the Father, even 
                                      so we should walk in newness of life.
                                    1 Peter 3.20,21  when once the 
                                    longsuffering of God waited in the days
                                   of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, 
                                    wherein few, that is, eight souls were 
                                      saved by water. The like figure whereunto
                                      even baptism doth also now save us (not
                                   the putting away of the filth of the flesh,
                                    but the answer of a good conscience 
                                      toward God)  by the resurrection of 
                                      Jesus Christ. 
                                   Ephesians 2.1  "And you hath he quickened,
                                     who were dead in trespasses and sins."

                                   7. THE BELIEVER IS FREE FROM THE WORRIES AND CARES
                                                
        
                                              I PETER 5.7   CASTING ALL YOUR CARE UPON HIM,
                                                    FOR HE CARETH FOR YOU
                                                                      

                                           

                                            LUKE 12.22 - 32  AND HE SAID UNTO HIS DISCIPLES, 
                                                THEREFORE I SAY UNTO YOU, TAKE NO THOUGHT
                                               FOR YOUR LIFE, WHAT YE SHALL EAT; NEITHER 
                                               FOR THE BODY, WHAT YE SHALL PUT ON, THE LIFE
                                               IS MORE THAN MEAT, AND THE BODY IS MORE 
                                               THAN RAIMENT. 25 CONSIDER THE RAVENS: FOR
                                                THEY NEITHER SOW NOR REAP; WHICH NEITHER
                                              STOREHOUSE NOR BARN, AND GOD FEEDETH THEM;
                                             HOW MUCH MORE ARE YE BETTER THAN THE FOWLS?
                                              26. IF YE THEN BE NOT ABLE TO DO THAT THING WHICH
                                           IS THE LEAST, WHY TAKE YE THOUGHT FOR THE REST?
                                             27. CONSIDER THE LILIES HOW THEY GROW: THEY 
                                           TOIL NOT , THEY SPIN NOT; AND YET I SAY UNTO YOU,
                                            SOLOMON IN ALL HIS GLORY WAS NOT ARRAYED LIKE
                                              ON E OF THESE.  28 IF THEN GOD SO CLOTHE THE GRASS,
                                                 WHICH TO DAY IN THE FIELD, AND TO MORROW IS 
                                            CAST INTO THE OVEN: HOW MUCH MORE WILL HE 
                                                 CLOTHE YOU, O YE OF LITTLE FAITH?  29. AND SEEK
                                                 NOT YE WHAT YE SHALL EAT, OR WHAT YE SHALL 
                                            DRINK, NEITHER BE YE OF DOUBTFUL MIND.
                                         30.  FOR ALL THESE THINGS DO THE NATIONS OF THE 
                                           WORLD SEEK AFTER: AND YOUR FATHER KNOWETH 
                                               THAT YE HAVE NEED OF THESE THINGS. 31. BUT SEEK
                                        YE FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD: AND ALL THESE THINGS
                                               SHALL BE ADDED UNTO YOU.  
                                          MATTHEW 6.33   BUT SEEK YE FIRST THE KINGDOM OF
                                              GOD, AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS, AND ALL THESE THINGS
                                                SHALL BE ADDED UNTO YOU.
                                         MATTHEW 7.7 - 8 ASK, AND IT SHALL BE GIVEN UNTO YOU; 
                                          SEEK, AND YE SHALL FIND; KNOCK, AND IT SHALL BE 
                                          OPENED UNTO YOU.
                                             
                                           PHILIPPIANS 4.6, 7   BE CAREFUL FOR NOTHING: BUT IN
                                    EVERYTHING BY PRAYER AND SUPPLICATION WITH 
                                     THANKSGIVING LET YOUR REQUESTS BE MADE KNOWN 
                                          UNTO GOD, AND THE PEACE OF GOD WHICH PASSETH
                                          ALL UNDERSTANDING, SHALL KEEP YOUR HEARTS 
                                             AND YOUR MINDS THROUGH CHRIST JESUS.

                            8.  THE BELIEVER IS NO LONGER UNDER FEAR, BUT 
                                    FREE FROM FEAR.
                                  ROMANS 8.15    For ye have not received the spirit of bondage
                                    again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, 
                                     whereby we cry, Abba Father. 

                                  II TIMOTHY 1.7   For God hath not given us the spirit of fear;
                                    but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 
                                  HEBREWS 2.14,15    Forasmuch then as the children are 
                                     partakers of flesh and blood, also himself likewise took
                                    part of the same; that through death he might destroy him
                                  that had the power of death, that is, the devil; 15 and deliver them
                                   who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to
                                        bondage.            

             

JUST TRUST HIM

YOU ARE MORE IMPORTANT

TO GOD

THAN MANY SPARROWS
