BEGIN WITH THE END IN MIND -SETTING GOALS

        Jesus said "I will come again, and receive you unto myself, that where I am, there ye may be also."
            John 14.verse 3  

                  

        In the light of that promise, I muse on the coming year, and 

       perhaps, yes, even the next five years.    What would I like to see happening ? and what ? would I like to achieve ?  

           HERE IN THE CLOUDS OF THIS SKY PHOTO TAKEN SOME WHILE AGO I HAD TO FOCUS ON MY CAMERA TO BE ABLE TO TAKE THIS PHOTO.     
          WHAT DO I WISH TO ACHIEVE ?   I  ASK MYSELF.
       
          HAVE YOU FOCUSED ON WHAT YOU WISH TO DO ?
                ON WHAT YOU WISH TO ACHIEVE THIS COMING YEAR?

          FOCUS IS NEEDED TO TAKE A GOOD PHOTO.    MY FOCUS MUST CHANGE SO THAT OTHERS WILL SEE ME AS A PERSON FOCUSING ON MAKING SMALL COMMITMENTS AND KEEPING THEM.

         QUESTIONS TO ASK MYSELF ARE :

             AM I ATTRACTING TO MYSELF THOSE WHO LOVE THE LORD?
         
            AM  I  SHINING  MY  LIGHT ? IN THE DARKNESS ?

             THOSE WHO ARE IN DARKNESS WHO MAY BE HUNGRY FOR LIGHT WILL SEE MY LIGHT IF I SHINE AS GOD DIRECTS ME.

                          This was me   June Estelle Donato  in 1938 or 1939.
I was just about five years old, and I visited in Martha's Vineyard and was in the Cape Cod for a visit to see my father's Aunt Sally -  his "mother".     Really his Aunt,  she raised him along with her two -  Betty and Bill -  and yet never did he call her Mother.    He never knew his mother - or his father.

                         Many questions in my childhood as to unresolved relationships.
However, one thing is for sure.   I early KNEW THAT SOMEHOW SOMEWAY THERE WAS A GOD, AND I WANTED TO KNOW HIM, AND TO WALK IN HIS WAYS.

                        In my lifetime I have found many changes and much to learn.  God has given me faith in Him, by my discovery of the BIBLE (KJV) and by my discovery that I can trust Him for all my needs. 

                     PHILIPPIANS 4.19  BUT MY GOD SHALL SUPPLY ALL YOUR NEEDS ACCORDING TO HIS RICHES IN GLORY BY CHRIST JESUS. 

                    AS THE BUTTERFLY PLANT
- BUDDLEIA - ATTRACTS THE BUTTERFLIES - WE NEED TO ATTRACT THOSE WHO "ARE NIBBLING" AT THE GOSPEL, OF THE GOOD NEWS.
    I need to think of ways to
    attract others in my LIFE.
             They are nibbling.
                   but they do not know
                  why they are hungry 
                   they just know "they
                   need something or someone
                    more than what they have." 

        JOHN 8.12 
         I AM THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD. HE THAT FOLLOWETH ME SHALL NOT WALK IN DARKNESS, BUT SHALL HAVE THE LIGHT OF LIFE.
  
         MATTHEW 5.16 
         LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE BEFORE MEN THAT THEY MAY SEE YOUR GOOD WORKS AND GLORIFY YOUR FATHER WHICH IS IN HEAVEN.  

           CONSIDER - 
   1.WE CAN THINK ABOUT WHAT PEOPLE ARE INTERESTED IN.
   2.  JESUS TALKED ABOUT THINGS THAT THE PEOPLE AMONG WHOM HE LIVED WERE FAMILIAR WITH.
  3.  JESUS WAS ALWAYS AVAILABLE WHEN SOMEONE NEEDED HIM, EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS NO TIME AT ALL...HE MADE TIME FOR PEOPLE. 
 4.  JESUS TOOK TIME TO PRAY WHEN THERE WAS NO TIME AT ALL...HE MADE TIME FOR PRAYER BY USING THE ONLY THING HE HAD WHENEVER HE COULD.   
5. WE OUGHT TO BE SPECIFIC IN ASKING THE LORD TO HELP US BE TRULY INTERESTED IN OTHERS.    WE ARE TO BE REAL.   
6. WE NEED TO ASK OURSELVES, AM I WILLING TO LET GOD HELP ME, BY BEING SPECIFIC WITH GOD IN PRAYER. 

THINK   WIN - WIN  

GOD IS SOVEREIGN

GOD IS ABLE. 

GOD IS WILLING FOR ANYONE TO COME TO HIM

AND BE SAVED.

MATTHEW 28.18 - 20  

AND JESUS CAME AND SPAKE TO THEM, 

SAYING, ALL POWER IS GIVEN UNTO ME 

IN HEAVEN AND IN EARTH.

GO YE THEREFORE,

AND TEACH ALL NATIONS,

AND OF THE HOLY GHOST,

ENQUIRES 

AND IS SEARCHING 

FOR GOD.

THE RESULTS BELONG TO GOD.

ALL GOD ASKS IS OUR AVAILABILITY.

I CAN DO ALL THINGS

THROUGH

CHRIST WHICH STRENGTHENETH ME.

GENESIS 3.14,15 

 AND THE LORD GOD SAID UNTO THE SERPENT,  BECAUSE THOU HAS DONE THIS, THOU ART CURSED ABOVE ALL CATTLE, AND ABOVE EVERY BEAST OF THE FIELD; UPON THY BELLY SHALT THOU GO, AND DUST  SHALT THOU EAT ALL THE DAYS OF THY LIFE.   AND I WILL PUT ENMITY BETWEEN THEE AND THE WOMAN, AND BETWEEN THY SEED AND HER SEED, IT SHALL BRUISE THY HEAD, AND THOU SHALT BRUISE HIS HEEL.  

Before Adam and Eve left the Garden of Eden,

God gave them an important lesson -  He 

made them garments  

The Bible tells us:   Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them."  Genesis 3.21.

This was the first animal that died to provide

clothing - blood was required to make this happen.

When Jesus came as a little Babe in the manger of Bethlehem, the Angel told Joseph that "thou shalt call His Name Jesus for He shall save His people from their sins.

Matthew 1.21 

In Joseph's mind, he had been tormented what to do ?  He was a devout Godly man who was a Son of David.   He wanted to do the right thing.  In Jewish eyes, a BETROTHAL was a sacred marriage contract that could only be broken by divorce.   It was a "legal"  marriage - and they were man and wife, except they had done according to the custom, and were not together yet.   It was not what he had ever thought - that Mary would be pregnant.   Then the Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, and said, "Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS, for he shall save his people from their sins."   Matthew 1.20,21.  

Matthew 1.24,25 

Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife.  And knew her not until she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.  

Did you know that JESUS in the Hebrew means the same as Joshua, and that in the Hebrew it means " JEHOVAH MY SALVATION"  OR "JHVH - SALVATION OF ME....

King David wrote in Psalm  62.1

"truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him 

cometh my salvation"

In the Hebrew, it would be read like this: 

Amen my soul waiteth upon God: 

from Him  comes Salvation of me

Again, 

Psalm   62.5,6,7  

My soul, wait thou only upon God; 

for my expectation is from him.

He only is my rock and my salvation: 

he is my defense; I shall not be moved.

In God is my Salvation and my glory,

the rock of my strength, and my refuge,

is in God.

To say it as King David was saying it in the Hebrew 

I give you my personal thought about the rendering: 

My soul, wait thou only upon Elohim,

for He is my expectation.

He alone is the rock of me, and the salvation of me,

He is the defense of me; I shall not be moved.

In God the Salvation of me, 

and the glory of me,

the rock of strength of me,

and Elohim the refuge of me.   

Salvation in Hebrew is 

Y'SHUA   or   Y'HOSHUAY 

John 1.29 

John declared:  Behold ! the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world.  

Do consider Him today.

Why ? did He come ? 

He either was a liar.

or 

He was deluded  

  or 

He was telling the truth

JESUS ANSWERED AND SAID UNTO THEM, I AM THE WAY, 

THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE, NO MAN COMETH TO THE FATHER

BUT BY ME.

John chapter 1.1 - 5

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  The same was in the beginning with God.  All things were made by Him, and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men.  And the light shineth in the darkness, and the darkness comprehended it not.

John chapter 1.v.14

John's testimony of Jesus was this: 

And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father) full of grace and truth.

John chapter 1.17,18

For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.  No man hath seeen God at any time: the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

Jesus told Nicodemus 

John chapter 3.16

FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD

THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON

THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM

SHOULD NOT PERISH 

BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE.

    As we enter into the season of Thanksgiving and Christmas, for Chanukkah and joys of family, I encourage you that God knows and cares for you.    He delights in leading us on.

THE SIGNPOSTS ON THE ROAD

GETTING READY ?

  There is so much we think we have to be doing in this world of ours.    We are living, growing, doing, speaking, running, walking, and traveling to and fro; making decisions, thinking and reflecting on mostly what we have at hand.

                     ARE YOU READY ?   

JESUS WILL COME !  HE IS COMING SOON  !

                                 WE ARE ON A JOURNEY
                                  JUST LIKE ABRAHAM

   I know where I am going !   I know the One who will guide me on my way !   I know the Eternal Home waiting for me is Sure !
   Jesus either was telling the truth or he lied   Jesus either was crazy or he was telling the truth.    If he was telling the TRUTH  why not Trust Him? 

       Read about it in the Bible.    The whole Bible from cover to cover is all about Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.    Let His dear Spirit help you find Him.     Trust Him today.   He is the Living Way.   John 14. v. 6   I am the way, the truth and the life, no one cometh to the Father but by me.

Lighthouse by the sea

                      Come along with me 

       Walking by faith, I will keep on climbing.

            

ABIDE IN ME John chapter 15 That others may see and know  That Life is in Me. “If you abide in me, and my words Abide in you, Ye shall ask what ye will And it shall be done Unto you.”   John 15.7 Jesus knows I needed my life in Him If I am to have a living vital life And to win others  for Christ. I am only His branch. He sometimes prunes my life, and It seems so painful. Lord,  prune me that I might not just be as Fruit More fruit But Much fruit. And that my joy will remain.   With Him I will have J O Y  “Apart from me, you can do nothing.”  John 15.5 Jesus wants my joy to be full.           Therefore I must abide in Him, in His love, walking close to           Him and not concerned with the fears of personal loss, possessions, friends and family.   My abilities, my expectations are all gifts from Him to begin with, so I ought to remember that                 Forgetting                          That which is                           Behind me,                 Go forward                           Pressing onward                           To the prize of the High Calling of God                                     In Christ Jesus.                               Philippians 3.1 – 16

Philippians 3.10   I  may  K N O W    H I M  and the power of His Resurrection and the fellowship of His Suffering               Being made conformable to His death…                          Living,   Loving,  Looking                  To Him for His Strength, His Supply, His Provision.  Philippians 4.19   My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Jesus Christ. Galatians 2.20  I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless, I live, yet not I, but Christ liveth in me, and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave His life for me.  Galatians 3.11 The just shall live by faith. Romans 1.17  The just shall live by faith.   Luke9:23  If anyone will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.  2 Cor. 3:18    We all, with open face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lor, are changed into the same image from glory to glory as by the Spirit of the Lord.  Paul’s prayer was for Believers – those who are born again – born of the Spirit – to have  F A I T H  that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith.    Ephesians 3.17                           It is said that the Albatross can live long periods of time                           just over the water, with no land in sight.    Amazing.                           Yet we can not L I V E  without abiding in the Vine, for                           Christ said He is the Vine and we are the branches.
