ON LIVING TODAY - musing on living, writing, entering the New Year -June Estelle Cash

ON LIVING TODAY

YESTERDAY, TODAY AND FOREVER

By June Estelle Cash

(Musing on Living, writing,

entering the New Year.)

Yesterday is not Today,

 nor is Today Tomorrow.

Like a Ship at sea

that comes into port

Before it arrives, everything is done

 to get ready to unload.

Those who stand at the dock waiting

for it to arrive seem to be scurrying around

to “be ready” when the Ship arrives.

The moment comes as it arrives.

And immediately unload from the Ship

Everything gets loaded on the Dock.

And simultaneously the items

That were to be loaded are

Taken on.

As the Ship pulls up all the boarding equipment

It then draws up the anchor and

Heads off to the Sea.

We are in a JOURNEY TODAY

The Ship of YESTERDAY has left.

We only have TODAY to do what

Needs to be done

And

What

We wish to accomplish.

Tomorrow will come.

Until it does,

I must apply myself

And do what I can

For as long as I can

However I can,

God Helping ZMe.

In TODAY

I CAN DO MUCH

IF

I FIRST ADMIT

I CANNOT DO IT ON MY OWN.

JESUS CHRIST CAME TO GIVE ME

ALL THAT I NEED

IF I AM WILLING

TO RECEIVE IT.

Today’s Ship  is HERE.

I can load on the Ship of TODAY

All that I have ready

And it will be taken on.

TOMORROW’S SHIP is not here yet.

When it comes, I will be

Ready.

All I long for is to SEE THE FACE

OF MY SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST

                                                   Ephesians 5.1,2

Be ye therefore followers of God

As dear children,

And walk in love,

As Christ also hath loved us

And given himself  as

An offering, and a

Sacrifice to God for a

Sweetsmelling savor

Hebrews 13.8

Jesus Christ the same

Yesterday,

Today,

And Forever.
