WALKING THE HEAVENLY ROAD BEGINS WITH ENTERING THE GATE

IT TAKES A GATE TO ENTER
Matthew 7. 12 - 14 Therefore whatsoever you would that men should do unto you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat. Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Matthew 4.23 -25. And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness, and all manner of disease among the people. And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatic, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them all.
Matthew 5.1-2a And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, the disciples came unto him. And he opened his mouth, and taught them"
Let's think ! about it.
Everyone that came to Him has been healed.
Would you ready to L I S T E N ? if you were healed?
He tells them who is blessed 5.1 - 12
poor in spirit
those who mourn
those who are meek
those who hunger and thirst for righteousness
those who are merciful
those who are pure in heart
those who make peace
those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake
Matthew 5.12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad
for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted
they the prophets which were before you.
As the Hollyhock is named Althea - and stands
for honesty, and truth,
so too, Jesus gives us a way to view
ourselves and others,
and how to
ENTER THE GATE
WHICH LEADS TO HEAVEN.
Matthew 5.16
Let your light so shine before men,
that they may see your good works,
and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
He goes on to say that He is the One who
came to fulfill the Law, not to destroy it.
Matthew 5.17,18
Think not that I am come to destroy
the law, or the prophets: I am not
come to destroy, but to fulfill: for
verily (Amen) I say unto you,
Till heaven and earth be passed,
one jot or one tittle shall in no wise
pass from the law, till all be fulfilled."
In His message to us, He today is saying
still, Blessed are those who choose to
enter the Strait Gate and walk the narrow way,
instead of entering the Broad and Wide Gate
which leads to Destruction.
I speak to you today, as God would have me
speak.
Jesus gave us all that we need to find
ETERNAL LIFE
and He has made it plain
WE MUST ENTER THE GATE THAT IS STRAIT
AND NARROW
THE ROAD
IS NARROW ALSO
When a person drives a car, he needs
to know where he is going in order
to get there.
Jesus has given us not only His words,
but He said BEFORE it happened,
that He would go to the Cross, suffer,
and die, and be raised again.
He told them, and His Word has been
recorded for us so that we may know
and understand JUST WHO AND WHAT
HE WANTED US TO BE....
THE TOOLS TO TRAVEL BEGIN
WITH KNOWING HOW TO ENTER THE GATE
This was my gate for almost 25 years.
When I first moved into this home, there
were no flowers, and little but the Doug
Fir tree and grass. I patiently worked
at making this Gate a place to enter.
Now Jesus HAS PREPARED A PLACE FOR US
and HE ALSO HAS GIVEN US THE GATE
TO ENTER
INTO THE PATH, THE ROAD
WHICH LEADS
ONWARD
UPWARD
EVER CLIMBING
AND ONE DAYS WE SHALL
SEE HIS FACE.
John 3.3
Jesus said, Verily, Verily, I say unto thee,
except a man be born again, he cannot
see the kingdom of God.
John 3.5
Jesus answered and said, Verily, Verily, I say
unto thee, Except a man be born of water,
and of the Spirit, he cannot enter
into the kingdom of God.
Now everyone knows
that "when the water breaks"
that is WHEN THE BABY COMES NEXT.
THE BABY IS BORN.
So, I say, Jesus is telling us that we
who are born PHYSICALLY
also need a SPIRIT birth.
It is not something that is manufactured,
or produced, by us.
It is entirely a process of
GOD'S SPIRIT who
comes in and makes us NEW CREATURES.
Jesus told Nicodemus,
(John 3.7,8) Marvel no
t that I said unto you, Ye must be born again.
The wind bloweth where it listeth,
and thou hearest the sound thereof,
but canst not tell whence it cometh,
and whither it goeth: so is everyone
that is born of the Spirit.
Jesus said that we must be born physically,
and of the Spirit. Everyone knows that
when "the water breaks" a BABY is coming !
and will be born !
Now we who are human beings
and belong to the human race
and there is only
ONE RACE
the race of mankind …
because
God created ONE MAN
FOR ONE WOMAN
in HIS IMAGE.
problem ! ?
MAN IS FALLEN
Romans 3.23 For all have sinned and come short
of the glory of God.
what is the reason?
Romans 6.23
For the wages of sin is death,
but the gift of God is eternal life
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
JUST AS DAYLILIES GROW
WE ARE TO GROW.
LET US THINK ABOUT THAT FOR A MINUTE OR TWO
FIRST THERE HAS TO BE A DAYLILY BULB
THE BULB HAS TO BE PUT IN THE GROUND
COVERED UP
AND TIGHTLY TAMPED
THEN WE SEE TO IT
THAT IT GETS WATERED.
AND WE WAIT.
THE BULB DIES - IT GROWS OUT TENDER SHOOTS
AND THESE KEEP FEEDING ON THE BULB
IT BECOMES THE PLANT
NOT A BULB.
Romans 10.8 - 10
What saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in
thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is,
the word of faith,
which we preach:
that if thou confess with thy mouth
the Lord Jesus,
and shall believe in thy heart
that God hath raised him from the dead,
thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto
righteousness;
and with the mouth
confession is made unto salvation.
Matthew 1.21
Thou shalt call His name JESUS, for He
shall save His people from their sins.
A tree brings forth the fruit which it is
An apple tree brings forth apples,
A pear tree will produce pears
A bramble bush will have thorns
When you ask God to forgive you,
and you admit
"I am indeed a sinner by nature"
and you ask
that somehow
you can be changed,
He will do just that.
GOD'S PENALTY WAS PAID BY JESUS.
HE SUFFERED AND DIED AND ROSE AGAIN
THAT YOU AND I MIGHT BE SAVED,
AND BE FORGIVEN,
AND THAT BEGINS
THE MOMENT
YOU SAY
"GOD, FORGIVE ME, I AM A SINNER,
IN NEED OF A SAVIOR."
THAT MOMENT
YOU ENTER THE GATE
THAT LEADS TO
THE KINGDOM
OF LIGHT
YOU ARE NOW
TRAVELING
YOU HAVE BECOME NEW
YOU ARE BORN AGAIN
BY THE BLOOD OF JESUS, YOU
ARE A CHILD OF GOD BY FAITH
YOU HAVE BEGUN LIVING
ETERNALLY WHEN YOU
TOOK JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR.
HE IS LIVING INSIDE YOU
THROUGH THE DEAR HOLY GHOST
(HOLY SPIRIT) WHO IS HIS
SEAL THAT YOU BELONG TO
THE FATHER THROUGH JESUS THE SON.
I JOHN 2.25
AND THIS IS THE PROMISE
HE HATH PROMISED US, EVEN ETERNAL LIFE.
John 14.6
I am the way, the truth, and the life;
no man cometh unto the Father,
but by me.
